The firm subsequently moved to Old Moor Road in Bredbury and became ‘Peter Douglass Platforms ‘.
In 1984 with the number of cherry pickers in the fleet increasing and more staff on the team, the company moved to larger premises at Arden Hall.

Carley Communications Ltd
Carley Communications Ltd is a communications network integration company and offers the complete communications solution to our customers. Part of that solution is data cabling copper and fibre optic, and from time to time we require elevated platforms.
In these competitive times it is very refreshing to deal with a company that cares. We have used the well-known names in the past but on this occasion I required a platform at short notice with an operator.
From the initial contact to finishing the job the whole experience exceeded our expectations. To deal with a company that has the same values as our own and conducts themselves ethically with courtesy and integrity is very refreshing. I have no hesitation in recommending Peter Douglas Platforms to companies or individuals who want and expect quality service.

The Real Fire Company
As a family business we pride ourselves on giving our customers the best care and service possible. Recommendation from satisfied customers is an important part of our new business and is itself, complimentary. There are circumstances which require us to acquire independent expertise with very specialised lifting equipment; this then enables us to carry out our work. It is important to us to find that Peter Douglass Platforms shares the same values to provide the very best service of customer care and reliable professionalism that is required. From our initial enquiry to the friendly staff in the office to Martin, an operative on the lifting equipment (who is a particularly nice guy) we will definately use their service again and have no hesitation in recommending their company to anybody requiring a friendly and efficient service.
